There was a mystery hare and a schedule. We had to leave on time, and everyone had to welcome our Burning Bush home. We welcomed, we grouped, we groped, we left.....of course there were the hounds who couldn't get there on time. Nookie, Shorty, Versachi and Baaack met up with us on trail. Our kilted Richard Pierce got played and ranged for miles because the hares saw him coming and hid from him. Stay on trail Dickie! The hounds went through shiggy - lots of it and had the blood to prove it. They followed paths, and tp which led them across US1 to a beautiful water spot that is being destroyed by litter till we found circle.
The was by far the best beer hash ever. We were lucky enough to have Lovely George supply us with Karen's Closet home brew and it was good! Lovely George's only request was that we return his empty bottles and everyone followed directions. It helped that we were promised more if we would do what asked. Thank you Lovely George!
No Blow ran the circle, deflowered a virgin named - get this - John W Smith. There was the usual down downs - too long between, no whistle, the last of the July birthday wishes, and a naming. Actually there were two Justs to name but we flipped a coin to see who would be the lucky one. We questioned, poked, enticed stories but just couldn't get it together to give her a name. I told you the beer was good! The lucky girl gets to go through it again! The best part is that neither of the Justs had ever witnessed a naming - I wonder if they'll come back? 5:00, Crabby, Waaay and Nunya were in charge of getting the beverages to the appropriate spots so they went down for autohashing and fence climbing. Men in kilts, not skirts, went in and went down - Bow, No Blow and Richard Pierce. FeFu had those funky feet shoes on and matching socks has become a drinkable offense. (Great score on those socks Nookie - who runs the habadashary for those slackers who still don't have hash attire) Waaay felt the effects of the home brew, which was much stronger than the stuff you buy in stores. It may have been his excuse for leaving Nookie at the wrong place. I'm still so sorry Nookie! Dickler left after circle, some excuse about having to work as did Waaay, only he doesn't work. And because we stuck to the schedule, we all went to indulge in Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches and they were good.
For those who I did not mention, so sorry - I didn't take notes.
It was a great time with an almost full moon! Sorry for those who missed it and missed our little Burning One.
Till the next time,
On out
Nunya
