It was f*cking cold in Deland this week! So cold that some of our fair weather hashers (you know who you are) didn't come. Among the hashers gathered at the Blind Pig were 5 New Smyrna Beach Middle School teachers. Kinda makes a person glad they don't have kids in middle school, doesn't it?!
This week's theme was a combination of geocaching and hashing. "What is geocaching?" you ask. Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing, like cashing a check) is an entertaining adventure game for GPS users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a GPS unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache.
Okay, so I know absolutely nothing about the actual trail because I ranged with Skinamax-sue me. He remembered a similar trail from a few years back. I thought, for the first time ever Skinny had led me astray. I was wrong. We wound up only a block or so from the beer check, which was in front of the cemetery. We drank beer while Waaayyy Beyond Gay's car fell apart around us. The first cache was also at the cemetery near the grave of some citrus dude.
Trail continued through the cemetery to the streets of beautiful dowtown Deland. The geo-hashers found the second cache velcroed to the bottom of a bench somewhere near City Hall (is that right?). The third and final cache was near Half Time bar, which also happened to be the end of the trail. We were told if we wanted to order food the bartender would walk to the restaurant across the street and get it for us. Does anyone else think that's strange or is it just me?? Gilligan was smart and ordered food at the Blind Pig before we left and picked it up when we finished.
We had a busy circle with 3 namings this week. We set a new record for fastest naming with Just Todd in approximately 4 seconds. He was wearing a Florida State sweatshirt so No Blow called him "Semen Hole," after some stupid sports team, and it stuck.
Next up was Just Loretta. She's a tard teacher, but that's about all we got out of her. She refused to answer any of the usual questions. No Blow actually sent her out of the circle to observe Just Kealan's naming ceremony and brought her back later. We finally got her to say her favorite sexual position is "receiving," whatever that means. No Blow named her too when he said, "Why don't we just name her "None of Your F*ckin' Business?"" So we did. We'll call her "Nunya" for short.
Just Kealan's favorite sexual position is "in the middle." Tried to work that angle without much luck. His favorite barnyard animal is the rooster a/k/a the cock, and he's a river guide so Skinamax suggested "Wet Cock." Everyone was quick to agree since it was cold and we wanted to get the f*ck inside. So there you have it.
Oh, and Waaayyy Beyond Gay finally earned his 100-hash bag for doing 100 auto hashes. In his car, that is quite an accomplishment.
